Life is too short, we do all we can in the short time we have here on earth. Our first love is each other, then our animals.
Jack was born here in Oregon, West Linn and went to Oregon State. Jack works in the family business which keeps him busy but has recently semi-retired so he works a few days a week and then ranch life. Jack manages all of our hay fields and cuts and process the hay for our horses. Jack loves hunting in Eastern Oregon at our 530 acre ranch in the Blue Mountains south of Pendleton Oregon.
Blanche was born and raised in Ketchikan Alaska and started her own business when she was just 15 yrs old. Blanche moved to Oregon in 2010 and wed Jack 7/2014. Blanche completed nursing school in 2013 but since has chose to run the breeding program and look after her 93yr old dad that lives with them on the ranch. Blanche also breeds and raises French Bulldogs, having a few litters a year and putting health first and foremost. Blanche and Jack also share their home with Spook (stray black kitten) and Pricilla (first Maine Coon cat).
We both have a huge passion for the Gypsy breed and absolutely love to share them with all who love to enjoy them as much as we do. We are very selective in the Gypsies we breed, to better the breed. There are a lot of breeders out there, claiming to be breeding the best. The best is only the best to the eyes of the beholder. Our stock is outstanding, but we are not going to fluff up our sales pages and feed buyers we have the best, it simply doesn't exist. What we do to ensure our clients is, we visit the UK on at least once a year to learn and learn some more (from true Romani Gypsies) about these amazing horses. Wither buying from us, or another breeder, do your due diligence and research the breed standard (not the Gypsy Vanner standard). There are a lot of stallions in North America that should be gelded (and mares that should not be bred), and this breed is getting over bred with bargain breeders buying inexpensive (and expensive) poor quality stock and breeding to recover their expenses or purely for color and don't put thought or passion into the quality of the Gypsy horse(s) they are breeding. Just because the Gypsy was imported, does not mean it is breeding stock. All Gypsy horses come from imported stock since being new to the states in1996.
If we don't have a Gypsy to fit your needs, I am more than happy to send you to a reputable farm that is top class to do business with and has the quality stock your looking for to add to your family. We do not view others as completion, I don't have perfect horses or claim to, but I am not gonna sell something it is not. I am direct and too blunt at times, but that is me.
Cheers!!
