I put this page together to share our adventures of with our Gypsies as well as sharing tips on hair care, our feeding program, and any general helpful information to pass along.
Cheers,
Blanche & Jack
So much excitement at PMG!! Our heard is almost together. We still have a two more in England to bring over. Our mare will be bred before she comes, so we will have to wait for mother nature to take care of those details. Lady Jane will join us this fall with our other beauty.
Both Fab and Red are well settled in and such a beautiful sight.
Fab is such a sweet sweet mare that wants to crawl in your lap to just be loved! Her blue eyes and striking markings and beautiful build make her a excellent mare to be part of PMG! I was only planning on retaining one foal this year, but I will be keeping a filly if she gives me one! I am also looking forward to getting her in a cart. She has such a presence about her! Fab is destiny is the show ring!! So I may be keeping her open next year:)
Lager Mare aka Red is just wow! At 14HH and more FEATHER than 90% of the stallions in the US, we are ecstatic to add this world class girl to our line. Red is broke to ride and drive and will hit the show ring next year as well. We got a few more surprises up our sleeve.
We are very blessed to have some of the best stock in the world in our front yard and can offer such quality to the public.
Now onto the boys:)
I had a great trip to Los Angeles to pickup Digger and Legacy but I also was able to help out another Gypsy mom and bring her two amazing weanlings that flew in together home with me while her mares complete CEM quarantine in Medford. So stay tuned for pictures of her darling babies on our FB page.
Digger is my boy as I knew I wanted a Don colt before we even went over in August to pick out a new boy to add to our lineup. Jack and I knew this new addition would be his boy since I have Master Plan. So Jack got to pick regardless of what I wanted. I left it to him. The first field we went to was Streetfighters field and it was not 30 seconds in that field that Jack pointed to Legacy and said that’s him:) Of course I couldn't fault Legacy, as he is the caliber we need to move our breeding program to a whole new level. He will look just like is daddy in all ways of quality. Jack didn’t look at any of the other foals and we headed to a few more fields to see more Cob’s and then, we were at The Don’s field! I saw Fab standing out there and went up to her and gave her a bear hug and got a nuzzle back. We walked the field and saw beautiful babies of all colors. What a challenge this was gonna be! I fell in love with Digger! He had such a sweet presence about him and his dam is just beautiful and excellent quality. So, Jack and I went back n forth and there was only one solution, to get them both LOL
When we first got into breeding, I was not going to have more than one stallion…. We have 3 plus our step boy MoonRaker. If Red give me a colt that is anything like Diva or Digger, that boy will not be going anywhere and I am gonna have to set things up around here differently to have five stallions LOL
We have made an offer on a new property that is setup for the expansion of our breeding program and hopefully will sell our home soon so we can make this move. Well, I better get out and get some work done. Happy New Year Everyone!!
