The New Girls On The Block!!

We couldn't be more pleased with our two new mares. They made it in safe and sound and I got them delivered to the CEM facility in Medford OR where they will spend two weeks and we will fetch them then. Dream is just one of the girls that commands attention. I had no plans to show this girl, but I think thats where she is heading as she is just perfect! I am already telling Janey I need another one just like her LOL
SweetHeart is a tank, she is a lot like Fab. She was a bit more jumpy than Dream, but just beautiful. I have no doubts once she gets home here at PMG and settled she will fit right in. I didn't spend much time checking her out as it was such a rush to get them loaded and to Medford. But she is a beauty and I am gonna sitting on pins and needles to see her foal outa Flash Harry. If it is a splashy colt, we plan on running him on:)
Jack and I have been busy working on the barn. We have decided to go with Nelson waterers and Noble stall fronts. This will add a whole new look and make our life simpler and the number one priority is the safety of our horses, this will offer that. We are also redoing ALL of our fencing. The 2" hot tape was a good idea, it just isn't practical for these horses. So a new fencing we will do LOL Along with the fencing, we are adding Noble shelters to our pastures as well. All this work is a huge expense, but in the long run, it will be so so worth it.

Wow, how is it even possible to be this far along in life already! So so much has happened at KC! This year should be a breeze, we are only expecting 9 foals, it is gonna be nice to have them spread out and have more time to work with them. We plan on retiring Harry at the end of this year. He will be 18 this year, he has more than proved himself. Harry will become my riding gelding. I am EXCITED! Oreo will join the gelding club in 2025 as his son takes over for him. Wow! I truly can not believe 2022 foaling season is a wrap! Now we button down the hatches for winter and get ready to welcome our first 2023 foal the end of February. We welcomed 15 healthy foals this year. I feel incredibly blessed that all mums and babies have flourished and doing incredibly well. I have retained quite a few to grow out. Happy FALL!! We have been uber busy around PMG & the PMF family is growing rapidly LOL We just got back from our elk hunt in Idaho and are batting down the hatches for winter. Wow, it is hard to believe that foals are here! We could not be more pleased than we are with our three we have thus far. Pride was the first to foal a BAY filly by SD Gold Digger, we had bred her to Oreo, but Digger was an incredible jumper we found out and caught her just at the rite time LOL We are keeping this filly to run on for mum and hopefully retire her soon. Foaling season is almost upon us!

I really can't wait for this year's foaling season! The first year Oreo is with us and seeing his foals from last year has me on pins and needles. Next year we are adding new lines into our program by using a few outside top quality boys to our outstanding girls! We have four girls coming from across the pond this summer!
